ELSA Publishes Life Settlements Investment Trends Fact Sheet

[London, UK, 5th March 2025] – The European Life Settlement Association (ELSA), the leading European industry group promoting and supporting the life settlement industry, has today published Unlocking Value: Insights into Life Settlements Investment Trends, the organisation’s latest Fact Sheet, which provides investors, regulators and the media with actionable insight into a specific part of or topic in the life settlement market.

This latest Fact Sheet highlights two notable takeaways from the recently published report of the same name, in which ELSA collaborated with asset manager, Conning. The full report was based on a survey of 156 institutional investors conducted between August and December 2024.

“The inaugural ELSA | Conning survey has provided our membership, and the industry at large, with genuine, primary research-based data which we can use to steer our efforts as both an organisation and industry going forward,” said Chris Wells, Executive Director at ELSA.

“We wanted to provide the industry, and other interested parties, with a couple of interesting takeaways from the report and we think this Fact Sheet does just that. Whilst there is clearly plenty of work to do, I’m also encouraged by the positive experiences from those once they participate in the asset class. Our industry provides many benefits not only to investors, but also to consumers, and it is terrific to see that much of the positivity that we promote is reinforced in this survey.”
