Maurizio has been active in the insurance-linked securities (ILS) space, covering both private and public transactions, for several years, initially within the specialized hedge fund, Eskatos, and since 2019 within Azimut Group’s main fund management platform, Luxembourg-based Azimut Investments S.A., where he is currently in charge of the life ILS business, besides covering the development of the wider ILS business of the Group, in particular with respect to private deals and origination channels in the context of the US secondary private markets for in-force life insurance policies.

Maurizio holds a master of science degree in Finance from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy, the certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation awarded by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) and the Certified Extreme Event Modeller (CEEM) designation awarded by the AIR Institute (Verisk).
