The European Life Settlement Association (ELSA) elected new officers for the coming year at its Annual General Meeting in London on Thursday 5 March. Simon Erritt, Managing Director, Finance of Coventry Capital Ltd, was elected to a third term as Chair of ELSA. Paul Cook, Head of Life and Pensions at Grant Thornton, was reconfirmed as ELSA Secretary, and Alec Taylor, Portfolio Executive of SL Investment Management, was elected ELSA Treasurer. Members of the Executive were also elected: Patrick McAdams, Investment Director of SL Investment Management; Jim Maxson, Partner at Culhane Meadows; Mike Fasano, President and CEO of Fasano Associates; Brian Casey, Partner at Locke Lord; and Jule Rousseau, Partner at Arent Fox.
The ELSA Symposium series, inaugurated in 2014, will kick off this year on 24 April with The Improving Environment for Financing & Investment. With sponsorship from EY and Imperial Holdings, ELSA will bring together an impressive array of industry experts to discuss the ongoing institutionalisation of the life settlement market and what it means for lenders and investors.
Following on the success of 2014’s joint conference with BVZL in Munich, the associations will again co-host their annual life settlement summit, this time in London, on 6 October 2015.
Simon Erritt, Chair, said, ‘ELSA, like the life settlement market itself, is expanding as the market increasingly turns its focus back to the asset class. The management team is looking forward to participating in the expansion while upholding the strict standards set out in the ELSA Code of Practice.’
