Chris Wells Appointed Executive Director of ELSA

LONDON, UK (10 October, 2018) – The European Life Settlement Association announced today the appointment of Chris Wells as Executive Director of the association.

Mr. Wells will manage the day-to-day activities of ELSA, including promoting the association’s advocacy for best practices in the life settlement industry to European and global investors through its Code of Practice. In addition, Mr. Wells will continue to develop ELSA’s member and non-member content, academic and market research and industry forums.

ELSA Chair Scott Willkomm said, “We are delighted to have Chris join as ELSA’s new Executive Director, and I look forward to working with Chris in his new role. ELSA is a remarkable organization, and with Chris at the helm we expect the association to go from strength to strength.”

Mr. Wells brings with him a wealth of experience in the life settlement industry, in Europe and the United States. He has headed up the life settlement provider Life Equity’s London office as Business Development Manager for the last seven years. Prior to Life Equity, Mr. Wells worked at Luxembourg based life settlement fund manager Carlisle Management Company as a financial analyst. Mr. Wells completed his Undergraduate studies at the University of Hull Business School in Economics and his postgraduate studies at Kings College London in Gerontology.
